I LOVE GIC!!! Went for an interview tis morn. At Avago Technologies. Ani1 heard of it??? A semiconductor manufacturing company. I nv even heard of tis name till i was shortlisted for the interview. Ha. Its located near my hse n i dont even noe.
Quite a nice environment n mostly young staffs. Bt the receptionists r real bad. Wonder y r they selected 2 b receptionists. Tink i can do betta than them. Ha. Aniwae, the interview was quite alrite. The interviewer seems like she's frm Philippines. And i tink i'm abit immune 2 interviews nw. Ha. Been going for interviews recently. ST, Student Care, BAT, Singtel, Avago Tech. Mostly all of them asked the same tings. So i'm actually repeating n repeating myself. Shd hav pre record my ans since i already noe wat they will ask. LOL. And i jus start 2 realise my experience in GIC is reali very precious. Is sth tat money cannot buy. And yet bcos of tat, it can get u a rather high pay job. I'm so grateful to my OIC n my mentor there n aso my partner n whoever gave mi the chance 2 go GIC for my IPP. Out of so many studs in nyp i get to go GIC (which i always wanted 2 go) & out of the 4 nyp interns (including mi), i get to go to tis dept wif all the elites n work on their big proj. Its reali a rare chance. And aft mi, there's no more interns attached 2 the dept i worked for. Tink mus wait few yrs latr when the site requires testing again. So i'm the lucky one. Come to tink of it, its been a yr. Its so fast. Bt though its been a yr, i nv 4get my stay there. Till now everyting is still so fresh. Maeb cos i've been goin for interviews n gt 2 recap wat i did there. Perhaps tats y i can still rmb it. Almost every interviews i went, they will ask mi abt wat i did in GIC. At 1st i tot, testing only, very pro meh?? Cos 2 mi, i tot its nth 2 b proud of. Its jus some simple tasks. I'm only proud of myself being able to work in GIC. Hee. Bt till i start finding job then i realised, its tat exp tat many employers outside r lookin for n yet nt many ple hav the exp. 2 main reasons y my exp is so precious is bcos of the proj n the skill in MS EXCEL. Jus start 2 realise MS EXCEL is reali a veri professional program. Most companies require the knowledge in MS EXCEL. Though it looks veri simple bt there's actually so much u can do wif EXCEL. So my advice is, start learning MS EXCEL now. It can get u a rather gd job. i will never let you go;
